INTO THAT DRESS: ARM TONING EXERCISES

BY TIM MUGABI

This article is the first in a series on which we’ll target specific areas of your body in the run up to your big day. This month, it’s all about your arms and how to give them a sleek, toned appearance. Here are five exercises to for achieving amazing arms:

PRESS UP

I’ve yet to meet a bride-to-be that meets the idea of press ups with lots of enthusiasm. In my experience, women tend to find them more difficult than men due to the difference in upper body strength.

But the fact is, press ups are an excellent upper body toner, working the muscles in your chest, shoulders and the back of your arms. They are an effective weapon against those dreaded ‘bingo wings’.

If you do find press ups difficult, start by performing the exercise on your knees before moving onto the full press up pictured below, on which you balance on your toes as opposed to your knees.

HONEYMOON DREAMS: HAWAII PACKAGE

Many say the honeymoon is the start of a marriage, just the two of you celebrating the start of your lives together, what better way than visiting four picturesque Hawaiian Islands. Made up of eight major islands, Hawaii is a picture, perfect paradise waiting to be explored on this island-hopping Honeymoon.

Unlike many other honeymoon destinations, Hawaii offers a pleasant climate all year round. Direct flights from the UK to Hawaii are not possible, however this honeymoon offers the chance to visit Los Angeles on the outbound or return.

The first stop on your Hawaiian adventure is Kauai, the fourth largest island in Hawaii. Abound with tropical forests, waterfalls and breathtaking beaches, Kauai is definitely an island where exploring is a must. The luxurious Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa gives guests a true Hawaiian experience; spread over 50 acres, it is a oceanfront retreat in the peaceful Poipu area.

Honeymoon Dreams recommends hiring a car to explore the island, this gives you the freedom to visit the many areas of natural beauty that Kauai has to offer. From visiting the Hanalei valley lookout point to boarding a helicopter to marvel at the 4,000ft high cliffs on the islands Na Pali Coast. If that isn’t enough book a relaxing cruise from the Na Pali coast to watch the dolphins leap around in the Pacific Ocean.
